Easter Resurrection Sunday

“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest.”
2 Corinthians 9:6,10 (NLT)

Nearly three years ago, God gave Encounter Christ Church a position of opportunity to receive all that He has provided through the cross, when He said to us,

“On Easter, you commemorate when I gave My best on Calvary. This Easter, I want you to celebrate when I gave My best, My Son, by giving Me your best.”

This word spread like wildfire, from the children in Sunday School, to working moms and dads and grandparents on fixed incomes – everybody responded to the Word of God. We determined: This Easter, we are going to give our best to God! Resurrection Sunday is the day we thank God for giving His best by giving Him our best.

Our entire congregation stood together in a supernatural spirit of unity. Many pledged to give one week’s income. Some of the children starting saving their allowance and collecting their spare change while the adults worked a second job or had a yard sale; but everyone began gathering the greatest seed of their lives. Everybody brought something as a Resurrection Seed offering on Easter Sunday, and they joyfully gave their best to Jesus! The atmosphere of expectancy was truly miraculous, and what happened next was nothing short of that.

God responded with incomprehensible miracles of supernatural power and abundance, the likes of which we had never experienced before. We were so mightily blessed that every Easter has become our God-appointed position of opportunity to worship and receive from heaven. Every year we give our best on Easter Sunday and God honors our obedience with an awesome demonstration of His creative miracles in the lives of those who obey the word:

Financial Breakthroughs, Canceled Debts, Marriages Restored, Houses Given Away, Children Saved, Addictions Broken, Physical Healing…and the list goes on and on!

This time next year someone could be talking about what God did for you because of your obedience! Are you ready to be a sign in 2009? We are seven weeks away from Easter Resurrection Sunday. Pray right now about the gift God wants you to give – pray about giving one week’s income, or even a special seed of two thousand and nine dollars. Whatever God leads you to give, make it your very best as we honor God for giving His Best.

In an amazing demonstration of unity, we will all present our seed before God on Easter Sunday morning and Together we will believe God for an outpouring of the miraculous beyond anything you could have imagined in your life.

“What do I do?”

Allow the Holy Ghost to help you find your seed and when you sow it attach a description of your most urgent needs. Healing, restoration of marriage and family, victory over addiction, financial breakthrough – whatever your need, God wants to manifest a Resurrection Seed Miracle to meet that need.
